A podcast is the equivalent of the old style "books on tape" in new technology. An MP3 player, like Apple's IPod, is an audio listening device that saves audio files digitally. Recordings are downloaded into an MP3 player through your computer using common software, such as I-Tunes or Windows Media Player.
